JAMES SUCKLING (95) Outer quote mark This is the best Haut-Brisson ever showing ripe dark plums and chocolate on the nose, which is so seductive. The palate is all about the silky tannins and beautiful fruit. Full body, gorgeous fruit and a complex aftertaste. So precise and impressive. Texturally complete. Drink or hold. Inner quote mark (2/2018)
WINE ENTHUSIAST 91-93 : Outer quote mark The new wood flavors are strong here. They go with a minty character and bright acidity. The wine is dry and concentrated, with a firm core as well as juicy black fruits. It is beginning to balance well. (RV) Inner quote mark (4/2016) .

ROBERT PARKER'S (91) Outer quote mark Aged for 16 months in barrels, 35% new, the 2015 Haut Brisson is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with savory smoked meats, sauteed herbs and dusty soil scents plus touches of cedar chest and iron ore over a core of black cherries, red currants and warm plums. The medium-bodied palate is firm and crunchy with a chewy backbone, finishing with great freshness and length. (LPB) Inner quote mark (2/2018).

ABOUT THE WINERY : Château Haut-Brisson, a 18-hectare-wine estate in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, is located in the villages of Saint-Émilion, Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens, Vignonet and Libourne. The Château itself, as well as the wine-making facilities, are located in Vignonet.

VINEYARD : The estate was bought in 2019 by Stéphane Schinazi, Bordeaux native entrepreneur and one of the inventors of the Internet of Things at the end of the 1990’s. It used to belong to Vignobles K owned by Peter Kwok. The vineyard extends over four villages located in the Southern part of the Saint-Emilion appellation, which offers a riche diversity of soils and subsoils. The feature represents today an undeniable asset in the making of Château Haut-Brisson wines.

ABOUT CHARACTERISTIC GRAPE VARIETIES of the appellation. Our vineyard is composed of Merlot in great majority but also of Cabernet Franc, both varieties being typical of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. The large proportion of Merlot in our blends is part of our wines DNA.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT : is fundamental to us Château Haut-Brisson has been a member of SME (Environmental Management System) of Bordeaux wines and has been HVE III and Iso 14001 certified since 2015. In september 2021, the estate has also started a conversion process to organic farming. This new step is part of our general approaoch of vineyard and environment protection.
